Create & Localize
App Store Screenshots in Minutes

Design once. Localize into 70+ languages, generate every device size, and upload directly to App Store Connect without rebuilding screenshots by hand. All in one native app.

On Instagram

A 60-second tour of the app.

Watch device frames, layers, localized exports, and one-click App Store Connect upload come together inside Screenshot Bro.

Showcases

See how the screenshot generator works before you install.

Batch import, one-click App Store Connect upload, layers, backgrounds, and device frames — the moments most people use to judge whether this saves them time.

Batch Import

Drag, drop, done.

Drag and drop multiple screenshots at once — Screenshot Bro imports them all and automatically wraps each one in the device frame. No manual placement, no tedious one-by-one workflow.

Auto Upload

Upload to App Store Connect in one click.

Connect your App Store Connect API key once, then push rendered screenshots straight to the right app, version, display type, and locale. Auto-detected display types, locale matching, preflight checks, and one-pass replace — no drag-and-drop in the browser.

Shapes & Layers

Build it up, layer by layer.

Add rectangles, circles, stars, text, images, and SVGs — then resize, rotate, and style each one. Set fill colors, gradients, opacity, outlines, and corner radius right from the inspector. Stack layers, Shift-drag to lock aspect ratio, and snap to pixel-perfect alignment.

Backgrounds

Make cool backgrounds.

Choose from 12 gradient presets, build your own with the multi-stop editor, or drop in images with fill, fit, stretch, and tile modes. Backgrounds can span across multiple templates in a row for seamless, edge-to-edge designs. Adjust angle, opacity, and color stops — everything updates live.

Device Frames

Customize device frames.

Pick from a library of device bezels — iPhone, iPad, MacBook, iMac, and Android phones & tablets. Swap frames, choose body colors, and match your brand without re-importing screenshots.

Why It Exists

Because shipping one new feature should not mean rebuilding every screenshot.

Screenshot Bro came from the same loop most app teams hit: a product update lands, then the screenshot file set turns into a repetitive mini-project again.

I built it after spending too much time in Figma redoing App Store screenshots every time copy, gradients, or languages changed. The goal is simple: design the system once, then let the app handle the repetitive parts.

Without Screenshot Bro
  • Manually resize each screenshot in Figma or Photoshop
  • Copy-paste device frames one by one across artboards
  • Re-export every file when you change a single color
  • Duplicate everything for each language, lose track of translations
  • Drag and drop every PNG into App Store Connect by hand
With Screenshot Bro
  • Design one template - all variants update instantly
  • Drop in device frames with a click, pick your model and color
  • Add multiple locales with per-shape text overrides
  • Export every screenshot, every language, every size - one click
  • Upload direct to App Store Connect — no browser, no drag-and-drop

Workflow

A shorter path from raw screenshots to App Store-ready assets.

The product is opinionated around one job: create polished screenshot sets without maintaining a pile of one-off design files.

01

Set Up Rows

Pick your device sizes — iPhone 17, iPad Pro 11" or 13", MacBook, or iMac. Add as many rows as you need.

02

Design & Localize

Drop in device frames, add text and shapes, choose a background. Add locales, auto-translate missing copy, and tune per-shape text overrides so every language stays pixel-perfect.

03

Export All

Hit export. Get organized folders by locale and row with every screenshot at your chosen scale. One click.

04

Upload to App Store Connect

Connect your API key once, then push screenshots straight to the right app, version, display type, and locale — no manual drag-and-drop into the browser.

Capabilities

Everything an App Store screenshot tool should do. Nothing it shouldn't.

The feature set stays focused on layout speed, screenshot consistency, and export sanity. No browser tab, no general-purpose design suite, no repetitive resize work.

Multi-Template Editing

Edit once, update every variant. Change a shape or text and it flows across all your screenshots simultaneously.

Device Frames

iPhone 17 series, iPad Pro 11" & 13", MacBook, iMac, and Android phone & tablet frames for App Store and Google Play screenshots. Accurate bezels, configurable body colors, and per-row defaults.

Backgrounds & Spanning

Solid colors, linear/radial/angular gradients with multi-stop editor, or images with fill, fit, stretch, and tile modes. Backgrounds can span across multiple templates in a row.

Shape Tools + SVG

Rectangles, circles, stars, text, images, SVGs, and device frames. Inline text editing, outlines, fill modes, shape clipping, and full transform controls.

Smart Alignment

Snap guides appear as you drag, keeping everything lined up. Nudge with arrow keys, Option-drag to duplicate, Shift-drag to lock aspect ratio.

Localized Export

Export PNG or JPEG at 1x-3x for multiple locales. Auto-organized folders by locale and row for App Store Connect, Google Play, and launch assets.

Upload to App Store Connect

One-click upload straight to App Store Connect. Auto-detect display types from row size, match project locales to App Store localizations, and replace existing screenshots with a preflight that catches problems before they reach Apple.

AI Agents & MCP

An opt-in local MCP server on Mac lets Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or Cursor drive the app — create projects, lay out rows and shapes, import screenshots, translate, render previews, export, and sync to App Store Connect. Loopback-only, token-protected, and every change is undoable.

Localization Built In

30 language presets from English to Arabic, Hindi, and CJK. Auto-translate missing copy, then fine-tune per-shape text, position, and image overrides with translation progress tracking.

Native Mac & iPad

Built with Swift and SwiftUI for Mac and iPad. No Electron, no browser tab. Instant launch, native performance, auto-save, full undo/redo.

iCloud Sync

Opt-in iCloud Drive sync keeps projects available across your Macs and iPads. Last-writer-wins merge with tombstone-aware conflict resolution.

Custom Fonts

Import your own .ttf, .otf, or .ttc font files. Use any typeface in text shapes — no system font limitations.

Project Templates

Start from built-in templates with pre-configured layouts, device frames, and backgrounds. Jump straight into designing.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Nudge, duplicate, cut/copy/paste, z-order, zoom, locale cycling, and select — all from the keyboard. Shift-nudge for 10px jumps, Option-drag to clone.

Privacy-First

Auto-translate runs on-device through Apple's Translation framework. No API keys, no accounts, no ad tracking — projects, fonts, and screenshots stay on your device.

Batch Image Import

Drop a folder of screenshots and let device size auto-detect from filename. Bulk-fill a row with iPhone, iPad, or Mac shots without naming a single file.

Free Forever Tier

1 project, 3 rows, 5 templates per row — with every device frame, all 30 locales, and every export format. No watermark, no trial expiry, no signup.

FAQ

The questions most people ask before trying it.

The product is early, but the core workflow is already there. These answers handle the main compatibility and export questions.

Is Screenshot Bro free?+

Yes. The free tier is unlimited in time and lets you keep 1 project with up to 3 rows and 5 templates per row — full access to every device frame, shape, and locale, watermark-free exports, App Store Connect and Google Play upload, and iCloud sync included. Pro lifts the project, row, and template limits.

How is this different from a web-based App Store screenshot generator?+

Screenshot Bro is a native Mac, iPad, and iPhone app rather than a browser tool, so projects, screenshots, and fonts stay on disk and everyday editing needs no account and no internet connection. Rendering and batch export run on your own hardware instead of a server. If you are on Windows or Linux, want to collaborate in a shared browser session, or only need one or two images, a web-based App Store screenshot tool is the better fit — the alternatives page covers those cases.

What do I need to run it?+

macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later on Mac, iPadOS 18 or later on iPad, or iOS 18 or later on iPhone. No companion device, no account, no internet connection required for everyday editing.

Does my data leave my device?+

Your work doesn't. Projects, screenshots, and fonts stay on disk. Auto-translation runs through Apple's on-device Translation framework — no API keys, no third-party servers. Optional iCloud Drive sync uses your personal iCloud account; we don't operate any intermediate servers. What does get sent is an anonymous crash report when something breaks, plus anonymous counts of milestones like 'an export finished' so we know what to improve — never your projects, images, or the text you write.

How does localization work?+

Pick from 30 language presets, or define your own code. Auto-translate fills in missing copy on-device. Translations save as per-locale text overrides, so layout, color, and images stay shared across every locale — design once, ship in every language. Exports are organized into locale folders App Store Connect can pick up directly.

Can I make Google Play screenshots too?+

Yes. Android phone and tablet rows render alongside iPhone, iPad, and Mac in the same project. Each device category comes pre-set to the pixel dimensions the relevant store accepts.

Can I drop simulator and device screenshots straight in?+

Yes. Drop a folder of screenshots and Screenshot Bro routes each one to the right row by its pixel size — iPhone shots to the iPhone row, iPad to iPad, Android to Android. A one-click capture button on each template also pulls the most recent simulator screenshot directly into the canvas.

Can I upload to App Store Connect from inside the app?+

Yes. Configure your App Store Connect API key once (Issuer ID, Key ID, and .p8). Screenshot Bro auto-detects the right display type for each row, matches your project locales to App Store Connect localizations, and replaces existing screenshots in a single pass — no drag-and-drop in the browser.

Can an AI agent build my screenshots?+

Yes. Screenshot Bro hosts an opt-in local MCP server on Mac, so an assistant like Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or Cursor can create projects, lay out rows and shapes, import screenshots, translate copy, render previews it can actually look at, export, and sync a finished set to App Store Connect. The server listens on 127.0.0.1 only, every request needs an access token you copy from Settings, and every change the agent makes is undoable with ⌘Z.

Does it sync between devices?+

Yes — opt-in iCloud Drive sync keeps projects, screenshots, and fonts available on every Mac and iPad signed into your Apple Account. Conflicts merge field-by-field with last-writer-wins, so editing the same project on multiple devices converges cleanly.

Where do I get support?+

Join the Screenshot Bro Discord — it is the fastest way to reach the maker, report a bug, ask how something works, and see what is shipping next. Email works too for anything private or account-specific, and the help docs cover every part of the editor.
